SmartUIB is an institutional project of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB); it is created through Executive Decision 10774 (Full Official UIB, FOU, number 389). This innovation initiative, at the framework of the Vice President for innovation and transfer, is intended to improve, in general, the efficiency of the university, to develop smart technologies to transfer to society and improve the employability of students forming it with a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The core of our lines of work is SUSTAINABILITY, believes in MULTI-DISCIPLINARITY that creates APPLIED knowledge to REGENERATE and TRANSFORM our environment...

Huawei Espanya ha llançat la quarta edició del seu programa de Beques de Formació a la Xina 'El Futur de les TIC'. A través d'aquesta iniciativa, 15 estudiants seleccionats rebran una beca formativa, d'una durada aproximada de dues setmanes, per formar-se en la seu central de Huawei a Shenzhen i a Pequín (Xina), on podran conèixer in-situ l'entorn dinàmic i global d'Huawei al seu país d'origen, així com la cultura xinesa. Les Beques de Formació abordaran continguts relatius a àrees tecnològiques, com Cloud Computing, Big Data o xarxes 3G i 4G.
Per participar en el procés de selecció, els estudiants interessats hauran de presentar a la pàgina web www.elfuturodelastic.com:
1. Una idea creativa en anglès, en format vídeo, sobre com la tecnologia pot ajudar a la societat del futur, cap a on evolucionaran les TIC o quines tendències poden sorgir en els propers anys
